Strengthening of the Administration of Public Debt in Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Countries
The general objective of this TC is to improve the formulation and execution of public policies on debt management in the LAC countries. For this purpose, the specific objectives of this TC aim to obtain: (i) methodologies for the implementation of the structuring, optimization tools and portfolio diversification, including programs for the design of strategies for the debt portfolio coverage within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; (ii) precized and standardized statistics with modern dissemination mechanisms (for example, Info graphs); and (iii) a high level discussion arena, experience exchange; and technical knowledge dissemination on public debt, including lessons learned of prior crisis that could help the Public Debt Offices (PDO) of the region to face the current context caused by the COVID-19 pandemic..
