Support to Public-Private Partnerships in Infrastructure Assets and Services that Contribute to Economic Growth and Equity in Latin America and the Caribbean
The objective of this TC is to strengthen the support of the IDB Group regarding Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), contributing to the funding of the Facility created in 2017 through the TC RG-T2998, and expanding its objectives to develop PPPs that contribute to economic growth and equality in the region, supporting the borrowing countries of the Bank through: (i) strengthening regulatory and institutional frameworks, and prioritization of PPP projects that contribute to economic growth and the reduction in inequality in the region; (ii) support for the identification, evaluation and preparation of infrastructure projects to be implemented via PPPs, and that contribute to economic growth and the reduction in inequality in the region; and (iii) creation and strengthening of tools and practices in PPP processes for the integration of sustainability measures against climate change; (iv) the generation, systematization and dissemination of knowledge and best practices regarding PPPs in infrastructure.
