Support For The Development And Execution of Activities of The Second Phase of The IDB Cities Network

The objective of this TC is to continue supporting the cities of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) to strengthen the technical and management capacities of local actors in the construction of sustainable and inclusive cities, and to promote the alignment of their agendas to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the context of the Bank's work in the different sectors and with the existing connection of the Network with the cities, these activities are expected to be carried out through: (i) dialogue and cooperation between the mayors of the cities and others actors, such as the private sector, academia or civil society around compliance with the 2030 Agenda; (ii) active exchanges of good practices and dissemination of innovative experiences that have had an impact and can be replicated; (iii) training spaces to strengthen the technical knowledge of the cities in order to find better solutions to the main urban challenges of the region.
