Regulation of New Technologies and Institutional Modernization of the Transport Sector
The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support and strengthen regulators from various countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), defining guidelines for the design and implementation of regulation in four key sectors of technological advancement and civil security: autonomous vehicles , TNCs, micro-mobility and drones. The beneficiary countries of this TC will be selected based on the following criteria: (i) identification of the problems and challenges of the transport sector and relevance of the studies at the national and local levels; (ii) availability of local authorities to support the analyzes and provide required information; (iii) institutional availability to implement pilots with innovative technologies that improve the productivity of the sector. Each component of this TC will benefit a country or group of countries in which there is special interest in promoting some of the technologies.
