Systematization of Experiences and Support for the Development of Strategies in the Rural Water and Sanitation Sector

It is in this context that this technical cooperation (TC) is presented, whose objective is to contribute to promoting access to safe services of water and sanitation in the rural sector of Latin America through the development of strategies based on the analysis of experiences and in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and the DHAS, with a special emphasis on the sustainability of services. To this end, it is proposed to work in four areas: (i) support for the development and application of information systems to plan both investment and support for the management of rural services; (ii) systematization of experiences, intervention models and lessons learned, and dissemination of knowledge, which will lead to the development of strategies to encourage and guide future rural operations in the region; (iii) specific support to rural AyS programs to improve the sustainability of services and achieve the objectives of the SDG and DHAS; and (iv) development of knowledge tools and products and their dissemination.
