Efficient Buildings, Green Infrastructure and Provision of Ecosystem Services to Address Climate Change in Cities: A Programmatic Vision
The operation seeks to support the incorporation of climate change elements in specific projects of the CSD / HUD portfolio and to generate a new pipeline of urban operations through the mobilization of additional resources. This will be done through two strategies: on the one hand, the generation of analytical inputs and information that will be relevant to generate climate action packages for projects that are framed under the areas of action of the proposal; and, on the other hand, the pilot implementation of climate action packages in specific projects. These pilots will serve to identify innovative aspects that may lead to a new pipeline and to the involvement of new actors (including the private sector). The operation proposes to prioritize three types of projects due to the potential for new business in the region and IDB's strategic agenda: housing; neighborhood improvement and natural capital; and heritage.
