Emplea-Tech: Integrating Young People into the Digital Economy
The proposed project takes a comprehensive training approach that provides youth the breadth of skills deemed critical by major technology companies, such as, leadership, teamwork, self-confidence, design-thinking, prototyping, social enterprise development, communications, and interpersonal relationship building, as well as, specific SAP tools like Build, Splash and B1. The target beneficiaries are disadvantaged youth between 18 and 25 years old, who are out of school or in the first two years of college. Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Panama were selected for the project based on the demand for qualified employees or consultants in these countries.
