Legal Identity for All: Who is missing?
The objective of this proposed technical cooperation is to improve the capacity of countries to produce timely and high quality data on the prevalence of under registration among children and the availability of an identity document among adults, particularly in vulnerable populations in Latin America. In particular, the TC will provide the opportunity to share experiences, develop and test alternative ways to collect information on birth registration, legal identity, disability status, and ethnicity and race using the 2020 round of population censuses.
