RG-T2833 : Public Safety and Justice in Latin America in 2030: Trends, Risks and Opportunities
Project Status: Closed
To make an empirically rigorous and methodologically exercise, which will give an idea of the impact that policy decisions made today can have on the trajectory of citizen security in Latin America. It would identify the most likely destinations where the region appears to be headed, the factors that have the greatest impact in setting that course, and the decisions and events that can alter it in positive and negative ways. Identifying those trends and alternative scenarios would not be just a valuable policy making endeavor. It may also serve as a way to alert societies to potentially damaging trajectories, and thus mobilize social and political efforts to prevent negative outcomes.
