RG-T2733 : Improving the collection and use of education statistics and indicators in LAC

The objective of this TC is to build statistical capacity in Latin American and the Caribbean to promote evidence-based education policy-making for the region. It aims to improve the collection, dissemination, and use of education statistics by consolidating the various data systems, developing methodologies for diagnosis, and promoting institutional strengthening activities in the LAC countries. This will be achieved through the expansion of the IDB-hosted statistics portal CIMA (Centro de Información para la Mejora de los Aprendizajes) and its corresponding education data warehouse EDULAC, and the provision of technical assistance to improve capacity in LAC countries. This will strengthen the leadership and dialogue capacity of the Bank, which in turn should generate more lending.
