The Joint Binational Commission for Integration (CMB) established between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, was created in March 1996 as part of efforts driven by both governments to start a new stage in bilateral relations. The purpose of the Commission is to stimulate and deepen the bonds of economic, trade and political cooperation between the two countries. The Commission also has the mission to channel resources and development initiatives for the benefit of both countries, from national and international, public and private agencies, and bilateral agencies and multilateral cooperation.
