Community-based and open data geospatial systems
The general objective of this TC is to have an impact on the transparency and efficiency of urban projects through the application of new methods for citizen participation. Specifically, the TC seeks to finance demonstration projects of community mapping in Mexico and Argentina, which are based on open participatory collection and dissemination of geo-spatial data, to promote transparency and effectiveness of urban development projects and facilitate more and better access to information.
