This project aims to strengthen the design and implementation of public policy and public safety projects by: (i) strengthening the foundations of information and knowledge about crime and violence; (ii) capacity building for the use of such information in the design and management of policies and projects, including robust tools for monitoring and evaluation; and (iii) the orderly organization of information available in the region in a database which can be accessed by teams of Bank when making diagnoses on the state of public safety, project design and interventions.
