The specific objectives are: (i) improving the quality and relevance of proposed policies and programs for the prison system, (ii) optimize compliance with international standards and regional coherence of public policies and programs in the prison system; (iii) strengthen the profile of the issue of prison systems in the public safety agenda in the region and contribute to the coordination and exchange between the Central American countries, specialized international organizations, and the international community.
