LAC Transport Megaprojects Strategy

The overarching objective of the KCP is to increase LAC¿s technical and institutional capacity for the development of transport megaprojects. To this purpose, the KCP will seek to initiate research activities and regional dialogues on the issues of transport megaprojects, which would lead to the development of the Bank¿s megaprojects strategy for LAC. This strategy will provide answers to the challenges presented by megaprojects in LAC (¶4.1), and will provide a framework for the successful implementation of transport megaprojects in LAC. In addition, countries will be supported in the development of their institutional capacity to implement such projects.
