RG-T1989 : Strengthening mobility and entrepreneurship: a case for the middle classes

The main objective of this KCP is to enhance the IDB¿s technical capacity to assist countries in strengthening their poverty reduction efforts through middle class consolidation strategies. The specific objectives are: 1) Contribute to a better policy decision making process that incorporates middle class expectations/attitudes; 2) Improve the understanding of the role of the middle class in the region and its implications for development policies; 3) Contribute to the IDB¿s efforts to classify, monitor and evaluate its investments towards mitigating middle class vulnerability and enhancing its potentials.
