RG-T1982 : Support to countries in the region for the establishment and interoperability of

The objective of the KCP is to design the Foreign Trade Integrated System (SICEX) in Chile and its interconnection with other systems in the region (Colombia). The implementation of SICEX and its interconnection with other systems in countries of the region will streamline the processing and procedures in foreign trade, have a wide range of online information and to apply the same techniques to improve risk analysis and fiscal control, fiscal, security and on that basis to provide facilitation measures to properly comply with those regulations. For the private sector, the implementation of SICEX and interoperability with other systems in countries of the region implies an improvement in the process of clearance of goods, rules, and procedures more predictable and transparent, and reductions in transaction costs thus resulting in significant gains in productivity and competitiveness. The knowledge produced from this KCP will serve as the basis for the preparation of several operations whose objective would support the implementation of SICEX in Chile and implement the interoperability of these systems between several Central American countries (Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador). It will also provide preparationsTo extend this experience to other countries in the region.
