RG-T1971 : Streghtening Country Fiduciary Systems

The general objective of the KCP is to provide advisory services to countries in the region in accordance with the implementation of the ¿Strengthening and use of country systems strategy through initiatives to improve countries public procurement systems. At the same time, the KCP will enable the Bank to identify and address the most critical weaknesses in the countries, thereby facilitating a better targeting of resources. It will also provide the countries with opportunities to share knowledge and support each other in south-south collaboration. To that regard, this KCP will support the: (i) identification of gaps in countries national procurement and financial management systems that need to be addressed; (ii) provision of advice and design of training programs for national and local institutions in public procurement, financial management and internal and external control; (iii) preparation of legal and policy frameworks and strategies for modernizing national procurement and financial management units; (iv) support the design of electronic procurement systems, (v) the design of integrated financial information systems including specific project subsystems, (vi) strengthening of internal and external control function, etc.
