RG-T1881 : Sustainable Energy for All

This KCP is an IDB-lead effort to promote the access to sustainable electricity services in LAC. The project will be the basis for helping governments to design and implement sustainable rural electrification programs (both grid extension and off-grid projects) and for knowledge sharing activities in LAC and elsewhere. Its goals are: (i) to promote programs to speed up the rate of electrification; (ii) to support the development of Rural Electrification Programs (through loans and grants); (iii) to develop a virtual platform for all sustainable rural electrification stakeholders; and (iv) to establish a regional network with at least 10 regional and extra regional institutions, NGOs, stakeholders and others under the umbrella of the initiative.
