Project Status: Closed

The main development objective of this KCP is to improve IDB¿s technical capacity to assist countries in strengthening their resilience to climate change. The specific objectives are: 1) Contribute to a better policy decision making process that incorporates climate change; 2) Increase knowledge and understanding of adaptive capacity of vulnerable systems; 3) Strengthen the capacity of water utilities to address the impacts of climate variability and change on water resources planning; 4) Improve understanding of the effects of climate change in agriculture and its implications on poverty; 5) Contribute to IDB¿s efforts to classify, monitor and evaluate its investments towards climate change vulnerability reduction.
