Incentives for the Conservation of Natural Grazing Lands in the Southern Cone

The RPG is a regional platform of instruments (legal and administrative) for the establishment of mechanism of official recognition to the environmental services that provide the grazing lands, through incentives to the land¿s owners or managers. The project will support a pilot exercise of these instruments and of institutional strength of public organism to raise official incentive policies. The collective benefit will be the decrease of the grazing lands conversion rate from the Southern Corn. Consequently, there will be several benefits like the increase of: environmental services, the product¿s quality and also the rural life quality, associated to the natural landscape of ¿las pampas¿.
