RG-T1796 : Promotion of Citizen Culture for the improvement of security and peace

General Objective: to contribute in building awareness in local governments regarding the decisive role of a citizen culture that emphasizes citizens¿ responsibilities in solving coexistence problems. The project will seek to change certain behaviors, attitudes and perceptions among citizens through cultural actions instead of focusing solely on law enforcement. Specific Objectives: (i) generation of data and detailed information to aid local governments¿ knowledge on their citizens¿ behavior and the moral and cultural patterns in each city, (ii) elaboration of public policies based on the findings of cultural surveys, and (iii) divulge publicly the results at the local and regional levels.
