Methodology for the design and implementation of regional information systems

The overall objective of the project is conceptualized, systematized, validate and disseminate a methodology for designing, implementing and monitoring of land information systems (ITS) initiatives for local economic development, understood as a strategic tool that contributes to more efficient the decision making process and strengthen the identity of the region. The specific objective is to support two regions corresponding to areas of two MIF projects to implement the system. The regions are Rafaela in Argentina and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The first case corresponds to the program FOMIN "Territorial Competitiveness of the Central Region of Santa Fe", a territory that has recently commenced the construction of the SIT, and the second case, the MIF project "Enhancing the Competitiveness from Territorial Business Tourism".
