SUPPORT FOR PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF THE
The objectives of this project are to support immediate public health responses to the AH1N1 flu outbreak in LAC and to design and implement epidemiological surveillance systems and laboratory networks that will monitor infectious diseases -including the current outbreak- to inform adequate and timely responses to future outbreaks. A subsequent phase of support will be considered to mitigate the adverse economic impact of the outbreak.
