Performance Indicators for Customs Administration
The main objective of the project is to develop a management tool, which will enable customs administrations in Latin America to measure their effectiveness and efficiency in delivering services. In addition, it will assist them in assessing general progress, performance and the results of individual operations and projects. The specific objectives are to: (i) identify a set of performance and management indicators for customs administrations; (ii) develop a software application and a monitoring system to gauge progress and improvement by processing data for each performance indicator within customs administrations; and (iii) carry out a pilot exercise in order to implement the use of customs indicators, the software application and the monitoring system in selected customs administrations in Latin America.
