Diagnosis of Caribbean Private Sector Organizations
The general objective of the proposed TC is to strengthen the capacity of private sector organizations in the region to assist their members in understanding and preparing for freer trade. The specific objectives are to (i) assess existing private sector organizations in CARICOM in terms of their institutional and technical capacity to provide clients with trade-related services; (ii) identify gaps in respect of the demand for, and supply of, such services; (iii) raise awareness among donors, governments and the private sector about these gaps and how they could be addressed; (iv) identify specific actions that could be taken at regional level to support the development of private sector institutions; and (v) identify existing private sector entities that could act as Executors of Bank, MIF and other donor-financed programs.
