Victus Fund

VICTUS Fund will invest in projects that bring innovation to agriculture, through the development of new products, and using new management or technical technologies. The project¿s objective is to strengthen the growing cluster of agriculture innovation; bringing new ideas and creating work in rural areas in Andean countries, mainly Chile, Peru and Colombia. In these countries there is an important asymmetry between capital and information. Entrepreneurs with know-how lack capital to develop their investments. The projects financed by VICTUS will be developed alongside the ¿partner-entrepreneur¿; an entrepreneur who has the know-how but lack necessary capital. The idea for this Fund is to replicate in Latin America, the model implemented via the two former Funds that Sembrador managed in Chile. To make this possible VICTUS needs to be a USD 100 million fund. The fund¿s sustainability will be reached with the target capitalization of USD 100 MM that will allow funding projects in the Region until they become successful on their own.
