MicroCarbon Development Fund

The MIF will launch the MicroCarbon Development Fund (MCDF) ¿ a carbon-based investment vehicle that will structure investments in at least 7-10 CDM Programmes of Activities (or PoAs). The Fund will invest in demand-side energy efficiency programs that deliver verifiable benefits to smaller firms and low-income communities and administer technical assistance grants to support training for local firms. The Fund is expected to have a total capitalization of US$50 million, and the MIF will commit up to US$ 10 million in capital, and US$ 2 million in non-reimbusable grants.
