RG-M1296 : The Acumen Capital Markets Latin America Fund

The project will help create an impact-led investment fund that will finance businesses serving poor and low-income markets. The primary sector focus will be on Education, Housing and Agriculture, as well as additional involvement in other sectors including Health, Water & Sanitation and Enabling Services. The geographic focus will be Colombia and Peru as well as Central America. Through its investments, the Fund aims to impact at least 200, 000 lives and achieve gross financial returns of 11.5%. The Fund will be managed by Acumen, a pioneer and leader in the field of impact investing with over 10 years of experience investing in companies that provide goods and services to customers at the base of the economic pyramid.
