Public-Private Partnerships for Economic Growth and Innovation

The overall objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the protection, strategic management, effective transfer, and enforcement of Intellectual Property (IP) in Paraguay as a tool to enhance collaboration between the public and private sectors and foster the development of the national innovation ecosystem. The specific objectives are to:(i) advance compliance with the Intellectual Property commitments established under the EU–MERCOSUR Agreement, particularly regarding the management of Geographical Indications (GIs) and Designations of Origin (DOs), as well as the strengthening of IP rights enforcement;(ii) design a Master Plan for the Digital Transformation of the National Directorate of Intellectual Property (DINAPI); and (iii) strengthen tools and capacities for the valuation and management of Intellectual Property assets.
