Public-Private Partnerships for Economic Growth and Innovation

The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the protection, strategic management, effective transfer, and enforcement of Intellectual Property (IP) in Paraguay as a tool to enhance coordination between the public and private sectors and foster the development of the innovation ecosystem. The specific objectives are: (i) to advance compliance with the IP commitments under the EU–Mercosur Agreement, particularly regarding the management of geographical indications and denominations of origin, as well as the strengthening of IP rights enforcement; (ii) to design a roadmap for the digital transformation of the Dirección Nacional de Propiedad Intelectual (DINAPI); and (iii) to strengthen tools for IP valuation and management.
