Technical Support to the Vice Ministry of Transport for the Implementation of the Metropolitan Public Transport System Reform
The general objective of the Technical Cooperation is to contribute to improving the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of Paraguay's metropolitan public transport system by strengthening the institutional capacity of the Viceministry of Transport to effectively implement the sector reform. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the organizational structure and the technical and regulatory capacities of the Viceministry of Transport; (ii) to support the structuring of the system's bidding processes and trust fund under principles of transparency, efficiency, and sustainability; and (iii) to promote the incorporation of inclusion and gender equality approaches in the public transport system through the design of a pilot program for women bus drivers.
