Support for the implementation and effectiveness of the Iluminando Vidas Program in Panama

Support the expansion of electricity service coverage in Panama, contributing to the universalization of access to sustainable energy in rural and hard-to-reach communities through the technical and institutional strengthening of the Universal Energy Access Program (PAUE) (PN-L1155), currently under implementation, and the new Lighting Lives Program (PN-L1198), promoted by the Government of Panama to expand and consolidate rural electrification efforts across the country, as well as the generation of technical inputs for the modernization of the electricity sector.Specific objectives:(i) Support the implementation and evaluation of the PAUE and the Lighting Lives Program, aimed at improving the living conditions and socioeconomic development of Panama's rural population through the expansion of access to reliable, affordable, and environmentally sustainable electricity services;(ii) Support the preparation of the Lighting Lives Program through the collection of technical information and the development of preliminary designs for energy solutions (grid-connected systems, microgrids, or standalone systems), including the assessment of technological alternatives, costs, and operating conditions;(iii) Support the modernization of Panama's electricity sector
