Support IDAAN in the management of water and sanitation projects and financial planning

The overall objective of the Technical Cooperation is to strengthen the Institute of National Acueducts and Sewers (IDAAN)'s institutional capacity to effectively carry out the technical and financial planning of its investments, as well as the proper operation and maintenance of water and sanitation infrastructure in Panama, in order to ensure the sustainability of the investments financed under operations PN-U0001/PN-O0016. The specific objectives are to: (i) strengthen IDAAN's project planning and management capacities to ensure the technical sustainability of water and sanitation infrastructure; and (ii) support IDAAN in reinforcing its governance framework by strengthening financial planning and cost recovery through tariffs, thereby helping to ensure its long-term sustainability.
