Strengthening Health Care Lines in Panama

The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the priority care lines at the primary level within the framework of the Coverage Extension Strategy (CES) in Panama, with the purpose of building technical and operational capacities to improve effective coverage, quality, and equity of services in rural and indigenous areas. Specifically, the TC aims to: (i) develop technical and operational inputs for the maternal and child care line, including strengthening nutrition monitoring in health facilities; and (ii) strengthen the care line for non-communicable chronic diseases (NCDs), incorporating the use of artificial intelligence for cervical cancer screening and follow-up.
