PN-M1022 : Prevention of Childhood Malnutrition in Indigenous Populations in Panama

The project concentrated efforts and actions in preventing moderate and severe malnutrition, through the implementation of a Community Surveillance System for pregnant mothers and children under 3 years at risk, and case management community, from a carefully monitor growth and development of these children and expectant mothers, and an accompanying family level particularly the mother. Such monitoring will require strengthening and support of the organization, participation and commitment of the community so as to generate the skills, processes and tools locally, to allow for appropriate monitoring and consequent prevention of malnutrition.
