The objective of this technical cooperation is to strengthen the capacities of the Peruvian government—in particular the Ministry of the Interior (MININTER), the Peruvian National Police (PNP), and entities within the criminal justice system—to prevent, investigate, and reduce crimes such as homicide, extortion, and other forms of organized crime, by strengthening criminal investigations, developing integrated information systems, implementing targeted territorial interventions, and improving multisectoral governance of public safety.
