Support for Design of Policy Reforms for the Water Supply, Sanitation, and Stormwater Drainage Sectors in Peru

The overall objective of this TC is to support the design of policy reforms for the water, sanitation, and stormwater drainage sectors in Peru. Through this TC, technical inputs, strategic reform proposals, and regulatory recommendations will be developed to promote the universalization of water and sanitation services; enable the implementation of differentiated sanitation solutions tailored to the diverse territorial contexts of urban and rural areas; and incorporate financial sustainability, resilience, and risk management criteria, including risks related to water source insufficiency and variability, operational failures, institutional and social challenges associated with service management, and the impacts of natural disasters. In addition, this TC will support the development of tools to strengthen the planning and governance of urban stormwater drainage systems.
