Support in the Preparation of the PBL for Productivity and Competitiveness Reforms
The Goverment of Peru has requested an operation to Support Policy Reforms, under the programmatic modality, to increase productivity and competitiveness (PE-L1244). This loan amounts to US $ 50 million from the resources of the Ordinary Capital, and constitutes the first of two possible operations technically linked to each other, but financed independently. The objective of this technical cooperation is to support the development of a series of policy reforms aligned with this operation necessary for the fulfillment of its objectives of increasing productivity and competitiveness through the design and implementation of public policies aimed at: (i) strengthening the institutional framework for competitiveness; (ii) improve the business environment for investment, and (iii) improve the business environment for innovation.
