Phase II of Support for Implementation of the National Strategy for Reducing Emissions from Avoided Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Peru
El objetivo de la presente operación es consolidar los logros obtenidos en el proceso de preparación para REDD+. Para ello se implementarán acciones que ayuden a subsanar los vacíos identificados en las siguientes áreas: (i) fortalecimiento de los mecanismos participativos de organización y consulta con partes interesadas (Plan de Participación e Involucramiento de Actores (PPIA)); (ii) implementación de la ENBCC –que en el caso de Perú es la Estrategia REDD+, con alcance nacional; (iii) actualización del nivel de referencia de emisiones por deforestación y degradación forestal; (iv) fortalecimiento del sistema de monitoreo; y (v) establecimiento de un Sistema de Información de Salvaguardas (SIS).
