Integrating Conservancy and Sustainable Development in the Interoceanic Highway

The general objective of the project is to promote sustainable development and biodiversity conservation in the area of influence of the Southern Interoceanic Highway Corridor,2 in order to improve the quality of life for the surrounding communities by identifying alternatives for job creation and income generation. The specific objective is to develop sustainable production-oriented ventures adapted to the potential of the land and the population, thereby strengthening the capacity of local communities to manage the processes of change and development associated with the highway corridor.
