Peru's agro-based exports (i.e. horticulture, fruits, etc.) to markets in the United States (US) and the European Union (EU) continue growing; however the supply of raw material is limiting further business. Thus, several Peruvian agro-industrial companies are seeking to expand their raw material production and quality to grow further and expand into new markets like the Asian market. Hence, IDB seeks to support the Danper Trujillo S.A.C (the ¿Company¿ or ¿Danper¿) investment plan to develop an additional 562 hectares (ha) of agriculture plantations, modernize its industrial processes and refinance a portion of its bank debt.
