Linking Rural Youth with Supply Chains and Markets

The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the employability of rural youth populations in Nicaragua and therefore to improve their economic opportunities. The TC aims at contributing to the creation and strengthening of economic linkages between targeted youth populations and high value added supply chains such as certified organic products and fair trade products. To this end, the TC intends to consolidate and expand a technical education model, targeting rural youth populations in Nicaragua, particularly in the northern and western (Madriz, and Nueva Segovia) regions and RACCS territory, where educational and economic opportunities are highly limited or null and an extreme poverty is prevalent, affecting over 50% of the populations.
