Policy Note for Indigenous Peoples and Afro-descendants in Nicaragua
The policy note will provide a description and analysis of the current socio-economic and legal situation of Indigenous and Afro-descendent peoples and will provide policy recommendations to be discussed (i) to facilitate the development of the Country Strategy Paper; (ii) to facilitate the development of the Bank's current and future portfolio in Nicaragua. The policy recommendations will be summarized in a Policy Matrix, which will provide a strategic focus for the Bank's activities in Nicaragua as they relate to Indigenous and Afro-descendent peoples, and will be of strategic use to technical specialists in the sectoral divisions for project planning.
