Support for Expansion of Rural Microfinance

This project will help expand and strengthen microfinance services in Nicaragua. Its specific objective is to strengthen a group of at least 10 of the leading nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) providing microfinance services in Nicaragua that belong to the ASOMIF network by: a) generating and disseminating knowledge, and conducting pilot projects in rural areas to expand rural financial services; and, b) standardizing and strengthening information management, accounting and performance measurement systems.
