Bright Distributed Generation Solar Projects

The object of the project is to install renewable energy systems in the Mexican residential sector, under an innovative financial structure that is scalable. One of the main barriers to residential scale PV projects is that the individual investments are too low to attract debt financing. However, by creating a portfolio of projects the IDB can offer the debt financing required by this industry that currently does not exist. The overall goal is to help the end user to mitigate climate change while reducing electricity costs for end users; all the while under a highly scalable and replicable financial structure.
