Promoting the professionalization of public safety agencies

The general development objective is to support the Government of Mexico in strengthening the institutional capacities of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Safety System (SESNSP) through the development, adaptation, and dissemination of improvements in decision-making and the formulation of evidence-based public policies, as well as by supporting the establishment of professionalization initiatives.
The specific objectives are (i) to strengthen the institutional capacities of the SESNSP and key actors in the National Public Safety System; (ii) to support the consolidation of the National Public Safety Information System to improve decision-making and prepare for the scaling up of interventions; and (iii) to support, through specialized technical assistance, the implementation of the new national policy for the certification and accreditation of institutions within the SESNSP and their personnel, based on the evaluation and continuous improvement of individual competencies.
