Support for social inclusion and gender equality in Mexico through sports
The objective of the TC is to contribute to the development of a care ecosystem and intergenerational interaction, using sport—particularly football—as a tool for social inclusion and equity, within the framework of the Mexico 2026 Social Legacy associated with the FIFA World Cup. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the well-being, autonomy, and community participation of older adults through the design and implementation of a new intervention model in community centers and/or spaces that integrates care, sport for development, digital inclusion, and intergenerational methodologies; and (ii) to promote campaigns and community-based activities that transform gender norms and stereotypes in sport and caregiving work, fostering equal opportunities, shared responsibility, and the prevention of gender-based violence.
