Strengthening Institutional Resilience to Criminal Violence in Mexico
The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the institutional capacities of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City and the Attorney General's Office of the State of Chiapas to design and implement evidence-based interventions that increase the resilience of these institutions against the expansion of organized crime at the local level. To achieve this, this TC will seek to systematize, strengthen, and structure inputs that allow for the improvement, expansion, and scaling of innovative initiatives that have been implemented in Mexico City (CDMX): the programs "Alto el Fuego" and "Reconecta con la Paz," which are linked, respectively, to focused deterrence initiatives and cognitive-behavioral interventions to prevent recidivism, and which were adapted to the Mexican context.
