Angel Ventures Mexico Fund

The project promotes SME development in Mexico by expanding opportunities of access to seed financing. The executing company, Angel Ventures Mexico (AVM), seeks to establish a new seed capital fund (Co-Investment Fund) that will co-invest with the members of its Club of Investors (CIM) in emerging firms. The objective of the Fund is to leverage the members¿ individual efforts, as well as to continue to support entrepreneurs in Mexico. AVM envisions this Fund as an alternative to promote private investment in the country, as has been the case in other countries, where this model stimulated Angel involvement. The purpose of the fund is to operate as a ¿matching fund¿. It will only invest in projects/enterprises where there is a certain percentage guaranteed by the individual angel investors of the CIM. This way, the fund serves as committed capital that is invested alongside the individual CIM members, in projects that will have been previously evaluated and approved, accordingly, by the group.
