This project seeks to support the creation of a seed capital fund in Mexico, PC Early Stage Fund, which will provide equity investments to 5-8 firms operating in the education, microfinance, and sustainability sectors, including vocational and tertiary education, innovative financial services for low-income segments, organic food and renewable energy. The Fund will be administered by PC Capital Partners, a Mexican-based firm with extensive experience in investment banking and private equity, and will target a capitalization of USD 50 million. For supporting this Fund, the project team is requesting an equity investment of USD 5 million and non-reimbursable technical assistance for a total of USD 350,000.
